How to have your data removed from Octo Web Solutions Limited and OWS Websites

This page explains how businesses and individuals can request deletion of personal data we hold, including data received through our WhatsApp AI assistant and other Meta platform integrations. It applies to Octo Web Solutions Limited, trading as OWS Websites, company number 16410673.

What data this covers

  • Account and business profile details held in the OWS dashboard
  • WhatsApp connection details for a business number connected through our app (WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID and access token)
  • WhatsApp messages, conversation summaries and lead details stored in the business's dashboard
  • Enquiries, bookings and contact details submitted through websites we host
  • Any other personal data described in our Privacy Policy at owswebsites.com/privacy

Disconnect WhatsApp yourself (immediate)

If you are a business owner who connected your WhatsApp Business number to OWS, you can remove our access at any time: log in to your OWS dashboard, open Account, then WhatsApp, and click Disconnect. This revokes our access to your number immediately. You should also open the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, go to Settings, Business tools, WhatsApp Business Platform, and remove the connection there. Removing our app from your Meta Business Portfolio (Business settings, Integrations, Apps) also revokes access.

Request full deletion

Email partnerships@octowebsolutions.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:

We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on the account so that we do not delete data on someone else's instruction.

  • The business name
  • The WhatsApp number or website involved
  • The email address linked to the OWS account
  • Whether you want everything deleted, or only WhatsApp data

What happens next

We acknowledge the request within 5 working days and complete deletion within 30 days. We delete the WhatsApp connection, stored messages, conversation summaries, lead details and account data from our systems and our service providers, and we confirm by email when it is done. We may keep the minimum records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices, for the period required.

Meta and Facebook users

If you reached this page from Facebook or Meta after removing our app, your Meta login data is deleted from our systems on the same timescale. If you want confirmation, email us as described above and quote the confirmation code shown by Facebook, if any.
